Senior Email Marketing Manager

Position Location

Primary Job Responsibilities

Joyus is looking for an experienced senior email marketer to drive the strategy and execution for our email channels to create great customer experience every day while optimizing revenue. He or she will also work deeply and cross-functionally with all teams -- from site merchandising to video content team to merchandising to product management to marketing create a coordinated and holistic experience for our new and existing subscribers every day across all channels and devices.

  • Develop email strategy end to end to drive company's user and revenue goals, inline with our overall vision
  • Develop and oversee management of email marketing calendar, taking into consideration commercial events, promotions, historical performance, and customer experience
  • Develop deep customer engagement, segmentation and personalization strategies using analytics and tools to identify new segmentation approaches and/or refine existing customer segments and maximize revenue and engagement goals within each segment
  • Brainstorm & generate new and innovative ideas for future email strategy
  • Hindsight email performance (daily, weekly, quarterly, and ad-hoc) -- use hindsighting and other analysis to present key findings and drive insight for key teams at Joyus
  • Analyze data at a granular level, summarize concisely, and report out key learnings
  • Develop and execute all email test plans and share results across all levels of the organization
  • Manage and maintain close partnership with site merchandising, video editorial team, merchandising, marketing and product teams to execute our vision daily via email
  • Filter, prioritize, and manage email requests from various parts of the company

Qualifications

Graphic Designer

Position Location

Primary Job Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer will help create a truly innovative video shopping experience that gracefully translates across different media (web, mobile and tablet). We are looking for a visual problem solver with an exceptional eye for elegant, intuitive and simple design at all levels: layout, transitions, colors, typography and iconography.

As Graphic Designer, you'll be both hands-on and high-level, creating key design work and day-to-day creative assets. The Graphic Designer will work with the product team to envision the next generation video shopping experience.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Joyus design requirements with regards to customer needs, shopping intentions, and business call-to-action
  • Create visual designs and creative for Joyus.com, Joyus mobile, and tablet applications as layered Photoshop files
  • Design graphics for marketing campaigns, adhering to strict design guidelines and requirements
  • Sketch and iterate fast design concepts at different levels of fidelity
  • Interpret and translate wireframes into beautiful and compelling experiences
  • Establish a library of creative assets and design patterns
  • Work collaboratively with UX, product, engineering, and video production teams
  • Prepare assets and specifications for development
  • Extend the Joyus design style guide to new applications and design requirements
  • Collaborate with graphic designers in video production to create a unified look and feel across mobile applications, Joyus.com, videos, and marketing campaigns
  • Manage expectations and provide status updates to internal clients
  • Stay up-to-date with innovations in online shopping, social media, and digital trends

Qualifications

  • BFA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Interaction Design, Visual Studies, or other design-related fields
  • 4+ years experience leading projects working on a consumer-facing website
  • 2+ years of professional experience in mobile application design; multimedia experience is a plus
  • Beautiful online portfolio that shows a breath of design work & thinking across different media (web, mobile, print)
  • Hands-on experience creating exceptionally beautiful digital brand experiences; ideally in a retail or ecommerce environment, with a lifestyle-oriented "trend-setting" brand
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams envisioning, presenting, and launching digital experiences

Senior Product Manager, Mobile

Primary Job Responsibilities

Joyus is looking for a talented Senior Product Manager to drive the conceptual and technical development of Joyus Mobile. The Senior Product Manager will create and innovate Joyus mobile across a wide array of tablet and mobile devices. We need talented product manager to spearhead innovative and accessible apps and features for IOS and Android. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with engineering, product, design and business teams throughout the company to define the products and services needed.

You will have end-to-end mobile ownership from concept to implementation:

  • Create product concepts leveraging emerging mobile technologies and customer insights
  • Identify emerging mobile technologies and trends that offers opportunities or threats to Joyus
  • Define requirements for features and services related to tablet/mobile devices and platforms
  • Evangelize the technologies, mobile usage trends, behaviors and product concepts with our existing team of product owners, developers and business teams to help bring them to life for all our users
  • Integrate usability studies, qualitative and quantitative research and market analysis into product requirements to ensure features satisfy customer needs
  • Write specifications, prioritize features, build consensus and coordinate product schedules with a team of world-class engineers
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams including: engineering, design, operations, customer support and business teams
  • Collaborate with partners and developers throughout the development process, and ensure development conforms with a variety of technical, product, and policy requirements
  • Understand our strategic and competitive position, and work to define and deliver the best products which maintain, shape, and improve that position
  • Oversee product planning for your area, including identifying new opportunities as well as maintaining a rolling roadmap of projects/iterations.
  • Manage multiple product lines simultaneously throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging waterfall and agile methodologies

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience creating outstanding web-based products for a consumer-oriented website
  • 2+ years of developing consumer mobile product experiences working closely with device partners or operators
  • A technical-minded gadget lover with familiarity and passion for mobile technologies, mobile features and mobile commerce

Senior User Interaction Designer

Primary Job Responsibilities

As an interaction designer, you must have a strong technical background and work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to design products that are simple but great for customers, focusing on interaction and visual design.

Your job is to be an advocate for a strong customer experience. By taking a proactive approach to designing wireframes, mocks, rich prototypes & solutions, you will drive our end-to-end experiences through a thoughtful end-user approach. You will focus on designing innovative and easy to use features and experiences that are accessible across different platforms and devices.

Using expertise, metrics, competitive analysis and user experiments, you ensure that enhancements to the user experience are based on real user behavior. Your job is to make sure that our products are intuitive, accessible and usable. You are the key partner in helping visualize the business goals & the interactions of customers. It is the responsibility of the interaction designer to proactively iterate on these models and simulations to move the product forward.

You will have end-to-end design ownership from storyboards to implementation:

  • Gain a deep understanding of user motivations, business objectives, market opportunities and competition
  • Work with product managers and engineers to create a vision for a seamless cross-platform experience that translates to the advantages across platforms
  • Help to define the user model and user interface for new and existing products and features
  • Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Collaborate across teams to rapidly incorporate customer and team feedback, technical constraints, and market dynamics into your team's output
  • Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Help define and drive future vision and own the evolution of the user experience for a wide range of complex products.

  • Strong portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks
  • Independently researched and strong knowledge of user interaction best practices, modern web standards and cutting edge UI technology
  • Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to incorporate feedback throughout the process.
  • Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines
  • Solid understanding of web, hand-held devices and mobile graphics techniques and production practices
