Der Bodensee translates to Lake Constance, a lake with shorelines in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The foreground is a beauty shot taken of a Czech model for a 1960's magazine. It has also been featured in The New Yorker where it was used to illustrate a short story. Phillips' work has been exhibited in the Gagosian Gallery in New York and White Cube in London. His paintings are always striking and have a hint of subversion.
Archival inkjet print on canvas, stretched over a 1" thick frame. Prints are stamp-signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by a founding member of Exhibition A.
